Youth team move to within touching distance of league leaders
Dale's under 18s moved to within two points of the Youth Alliance League leaders on Saturday with a victory over Port Vale.The youth team came up against Vale for the second time in eight days and emerged as 4-0 winners at Salford. Ola Rabiu bagged a double, while one from Andy Cannon and an own goal ensured the points for Dale.
The win sees the youth team climb to fourth in the table on 14 points, just two points behind the divisions joint leaders, Preston North End and Carlisle United.
