Minihan short-listed for North West football award
First year professional Sam Minihan has been short-listed for the Rising Star award at the forthcoming Northwest Football Awards.The defender, who broke into the Dale first team at the end of last season, has been nominated along side names including Blackpool's Tom Ince and Manchester United's Nick Powell (formerly of Crewe Alexandra).
Minihan is a product of the Rochdale youth system and made his first team debut in the 3-2 win over Exeter City at Spotland in April.
