Supporters make decision on kits for next season
We can reveal that Dale will play in ‘home shirt 1’ and ‘away shirt 3’ next season, as voted for by supporters.Fans have been voting for their preferred choice of kit for more than a fortnight and we can today reveal the eventual winners of the poll.
Home shirt 1 and away shirt 3, as modeled by second year scholars Darcy O’Connor and Scott Tanser (below), proved most popular with a total of 21% and 23% of the overall vote respectively.
Rochdale AFC Marketing Manager, Iain Johnstone, commented: “It is great that the supporters have responded in such good numbers to help choose next year’s kits. They have been on display in the shop and online for several weeks now and were designed by JD exclusively for Rochdale using the current kit sponsors, The Co-operative, with whom we are currently discussing their option as sponsors for a third season.
“The orders for the kits will be placed today and we will be working with JD to have the new shirts available at the end of the current season. This has been a great way for the club and supporters to work together and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to cast their votes. I am sure that everyone, like me, is looking forward to seeing the lads run out in the new kit next season.”
