Manager John Coleman looks ahead to this weekend's League Two encounter (written)

Manager John Coleman looks ahead to this weekend’s encounter against Exeter City at Spotland.

“Training with the lads has been good,” said Coleman. “They’ve worked hard, they’ve taken on board what we’ve said to them and hopefully that will come to fruition on Saturday.

“Exeter are a good side, they’ve got a good manager and they play some good football. They’re on the same amount of points as us so that shows that they’ve got the same inconsistencies as us and on the day it will be the one who performs the best that will win it.”

He continued: “Bad runs will see you plummet down the table while good runs will see you climb it. I have never known a league to be as tight as it has been this year so it’s important that you get a couple of wins sooner rather than later. Two games without a win is a concern but we’ve got to use that to motivate us.”

Kevin McIntyre misses the match through suspension meaning one enforced change to the starting eleven from last Saturday.

“It [making a change] is something that I’ve got to do but I might have done that anyway," said Coleman. "It might not have been Kevin who made way but whatever team I put out they know what I expect from them and hopefully we’ll defend a lot better than we have done the last couple of weeks.”
