The Voice of Spotland is back for Saturday’s Capital One Cup tie against Barnsley

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s Capital One Cup tie against Barnsley.

The programme has been maintained at 76 pages this season, but with a host of new features to keep you entertained before, during and after the match.

We start with a front cover image of the trophy both teams will be competing for as they set out on the road to Wembley.

John Coleman gives his thoughts on the game against Burnley and his hopes for the season ahead, while we have a special one-off feature looking at Dale’s form in the first round of this competition.

There is the first part of a series looking at the different scores achieved by Dale down the years, while a new style quiz has been compiled to test the grey matter.

We have action photos from the pre-season trip to Austria and a special feature looking back at the Hillcroft Years to mark that management duo’s return to Spotland.

New contributor Dean Smith pens his first articles for the programme, while ‘Before They Were Famous’ looks at a current manager who appeared against Dale at Spotland over 30 years ago.

Visitors Barnsley get eight pages of coverage, in which we drop in on a conversation about a famous Dale win at Oakwell.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
