Coleman delighted to land Grant

31 August 2012

Manager John Coleman today bolstered his squad ahead of the end of the transfer window with the addition of Bobby Grant.

It is well known that Coleman has long been an admirer of the 22 year-old, and he is delighted to have secured his signature:

“He is someone I have been tracking for a while and I tried to sign him last year but that wasn’t meant to be," said Coleman. "The pleasing thing for me is that Bobby didn’t want to go anywhere else, he wanted to come to us so he is someone who wants to play for the club.

“The Chairman, Colin Garlick and the rest of the board should take a great deal of credit for doing this. It is difficult for football clubs at this level and people often think you can just poke money from the sky, and to be honest I’m just as bad as anyone. With this deal they have made the effort, they have shown that they really want to be successful, and Bobby is the type of player you need to do that.”
