Robbie Stockdale's men were 2-1 winners at Scunthorpe United at the weekend, whilst Vale picked up a 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers.
The reverse game between the sides ended in a 3-2 win for Dale, after Corey O'Keeffe's late winner.
