Nathaniel is a winger who signed a one-year deal at Spotland towards the end of the 2015/16 summer transfer window.

A clause in his contract, coupled with impressive performances and ten goals last season, saw that deal extended in May.

The 24-year-old, who left Peterborough at the end of the 2014/15 campaign, started his career at Wolves after coming through their Academy.

Loan spells at The Posh and Sheffield United followed, before Nathaniel joined Peterborough on a permanent basis in the summer of 2012 for an undisclosed fee.

He went on to make over 50 appearances for United, as well as enjoying loan spells at Portsmouth, Shrewsbury and Cambridge during his time at London Road.

After mainly appearing from the bench in his first couple of months with Dale, Nathaniel was given a start against Swindon in the FA Cup and responded with a hat-trick in Dale’s 3-1 win.
