Dale travelled to Morecambe last Saturday and came away with a fine 4 - 1 victory.
Dale's goals were scored by Laurie Bell in the 19th minute with a 25 yard strike, Luke Watson in the 24th minute from a free kick, then a 20yard finish, Tom Bentham in the 68th minute with a header from Luke Watson's cross and then Godwin Abadaki in the 78th minute following a pass from Tom Bentham .
We caught up with boss Chris Beech after the match. "A really fantastic response from the lads after last week's disappointment. From my point of view it was great to see the players working hard in the week and then bringing it into the game on the Saturday. Laurie Bell's goal was excellent and he has really picked up from our training sessions and the DVD we gave him on midfield positioning. We are grateful to Manchester United for this as it is a Paul Scholes montage and Paul Scholes himself would have been proud of that strike.
I am pleased because Laurie has worked hard on and off the pitch to achieve his level of performance today. Godwin Abadaki also stood out along with a some strong performance. Keeping the ball passing and moving is what we are trying to achieve and today we achieved this. Well Done Lads. "
