Chris Beech's youth team overcame his former club and near rivals Bury 3-1 on Saturday.
Goals from Tom Bentham, Callum Byrne and Dennis Sherriff defeated the side from Gigg Lane, a great result for Dale.
Rochdale's first goal was scored 30 minutes after half time when Tom Bentham flicked a header into the net from a wide free kick. The second came just 6 minutes later, when Callum Byrne kept up good interplay with a pass round the keeper. Dennis Sherriff scored the third and final with a half volley, smashing the ball into the net with just four minutes to go.

"Great result with a performance that didn't start until Bury scored their goal in the 60th minute from a penalty!
Players today were not quite right but with the introduction of Dennis Sherriff and Godwin Abadaki at half time, we had a new lease of life and when Tom Bentham came on the game became ours.
Dennis Sherriff looked to be back to his best after a four week lay off and showed a great attitude today playing for our U16's in goal in a friendly against Partick Thistle prior to our game.
Tom Bentham also played a half for fitness in this game and he too deserves credit for coming on in the Youth game to equalise. Both players had missed several weeks.
Callum Byrne scored his 6th goal since the turn of the year and now is really putting the icing on the cake with his dominant performances."
