Dale's youth team played at Oldham Athletic on Saturday 5th December 2009 with Dale overcoming Oldham 3-1 with a fine performance.
Dennis Sherriff and Josh Tinker scored the goals for Dale with Dennis scoring two and capping off a strong performance in what boss Chris Beech thought was a good game of football.
We caught up with Chris Beech who gave us his views on the game. "A good win with a performance we know could have been better, We played in a 4-5-1 in preparation for Wednesday and this looked well, once we bedded in our game plan.
It is great to see Dennis Sherriff score 2 more goals and Josh Tinker score his 1st youth goal which he took excellently. Luke Watson our U16's centre half played well against a potent strike force and again our U16's goalkeeper Jordan Andrews played very well in goal.The whole squad is looking forward to Aston Villa and we can't wait for Wednesday."
