Following his side's impressive 3-2 away win at Spotland, Chesterfield boss John Sheridan spoke to his club's website about The Spireites' display and their form so far this season.
"I thought some of the football today attacking wise was first class and thankfully we came out the winners," said Sheridan. "I thought in first half we caused them lots and lots of problems We went in at half-time fairly comfortable at 2-0 and then made it very hard for ourselves. But credit to the players they regrouped and got the points and we showed some character."
The former Oldham Athletic boss knows his side need to carry on their recent away form if they are to challenge for promotion and spoke of how a win at Rochdale is a great result for his team if they are to do that.
"I have been happy with the performances all season and if we continue to perform how I want us to perform we will pick up more points away from home. Rochdale are one of the best footballing sides in the division so to come away with three points is credit to the players."
