Letter of thanks
Dear Mr Garlick
I would like to bring to your attention of the great gesture that was shown by Jack the kit man, Dave Flitcroft and all the lads for what they did last night.
On the way back home traveling north on the M1 after the watching the team play some good football and get yet another away win, my engine light came on in my car & I started to worry but I managed to get the car to the next services which was at Wooley Edge, just near Wakefield. I could not get my car to restart once we had got there and therefore rang for the breakdown recovery.
Their were five of us waiting when one of the lads that was traveling with me (Mark Sweetmore) rang up Jack the kit man who said they had just past the services that we were stuck at for the next hour and a half.
No more than 10 minutes later, Mark recieves a phone call from Jack asking where abouts we were at the services. Then out of nowhere, the players coach turns up offering me & the lads a lift home back to Rochdale and from my understanding it was Dave Flitcoft that told the coach driver to turn around and pick us up.
My Friend Ryan Tomlinson stayed with me untill the break down recovery arrived but Mark and two of my other friends, Mathew Harrop and Mathew Finn were able to get home safely on the players coach with all the thanks going to Jack, Dave and the lads.
Once again I would like to thank the club for everything they did last night and I was wondering if you could pass this message onto Jack, Dave and the all the rest of the players & staff for doing this great gesture.
Yours gratefully
Neil Barlow
