Glenn joined Dale on loan from Carlisle in October 2006, with the deal then being made permanent when the January Transfer Window opened when he signed a contract until the summer of 2009.
The 23-year old had struggled to establish himself in the first team at Brunton Park, although he did have a successful loan spell with Stockport in the early part of last season. He opened his scoring account for Dale in the 3-2 defeat at Barnet in November and added three more goals over the Christmas and New Year period.
With the change of management and the introduction of wingers Murray blossomed and formed a prolific partnership with Chris Dagnall finishing the season with a total of 19 league goals to his credit and starting to attract the interest of clubs from higher divisions. Will be looking to carry his form into the coming season when he is sure to again cause problems aplenty for opposition defences.
