Jason is on-loan from Rotherham United having joined Dale a few days before our 2-1 win at Dagenham & Redbridge.

The midfielder made his debut in this game and has impressed in his appearances so far. Upto and including our 4-0 win at home to Shrewsbury, Dale had won every game Taylor had played in.

He started his career at Oldham Athletic but failed to make an appearance before he moved on-loan to Stockport County. It was here he made his name as a tough tackling, no nonsense centre-midfielder and won their Young Player of the Year award in 2006/07. Taylor had another fruitful season the year after as he helped County to promotion via a Play-Off Final win over Dale at Wembley, but Taylor did not make an appearance in this match.

In January 2009 Taylor had the chance to join Dale but chose to move to Rotherham instead. However, things didn't quite work out with The Millers for the 23-year-old and he joined Keith Hill's side in November. Taylor extended his loan deal for a further month on 21st December.
