Scott moved to Spotland from Darlington in the summer of 2008 having played for the Quakers in the two play-off semi-final matches against Dale.
He started the 2008/09 campaign on the bench, before an injury to Simon Ramsden saw Scott occupy the right-back slot for the middle third of the campaign.
Unfortunately, he too picked up an injury which allowed Ramsden to reclaim that position for the season's final month and led to Scott being told he wouldn't be offered a new deal.
There was then a further twist when Ramsden opted to join Bradford City at the start of June 2009, so Keith Hill re-engaged Wiseman on a 12-month contract.
Also able to play on the right side of midfield, Scott started his career with Hull, where he had been since the age of six. He had loan spells at Boston and Rotherham during his time with the Tigers, before moving to Darlington in May 2007.
Scott scored his first goal for Dale in the 3-0 defeat of Macclesfield in December 2009 and went on to be an integral member of the promotion-winning team.
His form was so good that he earned himself a new two-year contract in the summer of 2010.
