Born: Nottingham, 25th January 1986
Chris joined Dale in a six-month loan spell from Oldham in August 2009. The move was so successful that Dale made the deal permanent once the January transfer window opened, with Chris signing a contract keeping him at Spotland until the summer of 2012.
He celebrated with a hat-trick in the magnificent 4-1 win at Cheltenham, but eclipsed that with the winning goal against Northampton to clinch Dale's promotion from League Two.
The 24-year old started his career as a trainee at Leicester, but struggled to make an impact with the Foxes, who loaned him out to Notts County and Rushden & Diamonds during his time at the Walkers Stadium.
In January 2007 Chris joined Rotherham for £65,000, but he was on the move again 18 months later to Oldham.
However, he found his chances limited at Boundary Park and Latics sent him out on loan three times last season to Bury, Bradford and Stockport.
