Keith Hill's side look to get back to winning ways at Shrewsbury's New Meadow on Saturday.
Last Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Lincoln was a disappointment in that it brought an end to Dale's winning run, but the table toppers will be looking to get back on track against Paul Simpson's side on Saturday who themselves have one eye on promotion this season.
Shrewsbury had argueably their most disappointing result of the season on Saturday as they lost heavily at Grimsby Town, losing 3-0 to a side that hadn't won in the League since September. However, their last home game was a great result for Simpson's team as they beat Bournemouth 1-0. Shrewsbury currently sit 7th in League Two, three points ahead of 8th placed Northampton Town.

BLAST FROM THE PAST - Lee Cartwright goes up for a header during Dale's 1-0 win at Shrewsbury's old ground Gay Meadow in August 2005.
Frank Fielding is set to be between the sticks for Dale as he was last year at New Meadow, with his back four likely to be Scott Wiseman, Nathan Stanton, the facially protected Craig Dawson, and Tom Kennedy, although Rory McArdle is pushing for a start at right-back or centre-back after impressive displays in both positions recently.
The midfield pairing could be any two from Jason Taylor, Jason Kennedy, skipper Gary Jones and Ciaran Toner, whilst Toner could also play on the wing as he battles for a spot there alongside Joe Thompson, Kallum Higginbotham, Temitope Obadeyi and Andy Haworth. Chris O'Grady and Chris Dagnall are set to start up top.
We have faced Shrewsbury 41 times in history, with 19 wins for us, 12 for Shrewsbury and 10 draws coming from those games. Keith Hill has faced them six times in his Dale career, with the most recent results being in Dale's favour. Last season we defeated Paul Simpson's side 2-1 at Spotland before drawing 1-1 at the Prostar, whilst this season we thrashed The Shrews 4-0 at Spotland.
Saturday's referee will be Andy D'Urso from Essex. He last refereed Dale in our 2-0 defeat at home to Darlington last season, which was live on SKY. Mr D'Urso is a former Premiership referee, with his last game coming at Fulham in December 2005. He has refereed 26 games this season, brandishing 72 yellow cards and 1 red card. His assistants will be Steve Cook from Derbyshire and Andy Hendley from West Yorkshire, whilst the fourth official will be Neil Radford from Worcestershire.
