Coming as it does just a few days after the tragic loss of  Paul Conway Saturday represents another big test for Keith Hill's young side as unbeaten Wycombe Wanderers make the journey up the M40 and M6.

Former England manager Peter Taylor has made an excellent start to his reign at the club as they are unbeaten in the League and come into the game on back of 3 straight wins during which they haven't conceded as goal. They have a squad full of good players and underlined the difference in budgets between the two clubs when they splashed the cash ahead of Monday's transfer deadline with the capture of Southend United striker Matt Harrold. The six foot plus, Prince Harry lookalike ,will in all likelihood ,go straight into the side to partner the prolific Scott McGleish.

Taylor (pictured below)lost a couple of key players, among them the flamboyant Argentinian Serge Torres in the summer and has since offloaded Leon Knight and John Sutton but has strengthened in all departments over the last few weeks and months as he, like Keith Hill, looks to improve on last seasons Play off finish.

In the corresponding fixture last season the visitors played a cat and mouse type of game with the vastly experienced midfield pairing of Neil Lennon and Tommy Doherty (pictured below)pulling all the strings and though Lennon has since returned to his beloved Glasgow Celtic their tactics are likely to remain unchanged. Keith has obviously had our opponents watched and has spoken to Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson who confirmed that the game at Saltergate last weekend The Chairboys employed counter attacking football to frustrate and eventually defeat his side.

Rochdale are going to have be patient on the day, cutting out errors at the back and above all taking their chances when they come along. Given Wycombe's defensive strength thus far those chances may be at a premium. If that is the case the players will need the full backing of the Spotland faithful who can play a big part in ensuring that Dale retain an unbeaten home record that stretches back to March 1st when Chesterfield nicked a 1-0 victory.

Patience is a virtue and if the fans can show it then it will become easier for the players to do so.

Likely team news
Keith has no new injury or suspension worries to concern him ahead of the game and with the exception of Nathan D'Laryea and Raphaele Evans has a full squad from which to choose.

Wycombe appear unlikely to have defender Lewis Hunt (seen below) available to make his first start having still not recovered from injury but will include Harrold in their squad. if Harrold does start it may mean a change from the 4-5-1 formation that has been employed thus far.
