Rochdale AFC Supporting the Wider Community,

Posted on: Fri 23 Jul 2010

Life isn't always just about football and here at Rochdale AFC we recognise that very fact.  In our efforts to support the wider community we have teamed up with Rochdale Citizen Advocacy who recruit and support volunteer advocates from the community for people with learning difficulties.

The organisation are looking for volunteers and if you think you have the right qualities to be a volunteer advocate they want to hear from you.  Can you answer 'yes' to the following?

- Are you a good listener and communicator?

- Do you respect the rights of people with learning disabilities to be treated as equals in our society?

- Can you spare a few hours a week on an regular basis to support and advocate for someone with learning disabilities?

- Would you like to learn new skills and meet new people?

We will provide training and support to volunteers who can make a difference to others.
