20 year-old defender Matt Flynn has signed permanently at Spotland after a successful one-month loan deal.

The youngster signed on-loan for Dale before our home game with Aldershot and has done enough to impress the management team at Spotland in the short time he's been here.

Matt made his debut in the game at home to Aldershot and has played in both of Dale's following matches, at home to Cheltenham and away at Rotherham.

He was initially brought in to cover for the injured Scott Wiseman, but after some impressive displays he has won himself a contract at Spotland.

Matt signs a two-year deal at Spotland.
