This morning's heavy weather has left Spotland worse for wear, with water seeping into most areas of the ground. The worse hit area is undoubtedly the Main Stand, where each executive box has been flooded, as shown in the pictures. There has also been some damage downstairs, although this is little in comparison to the executive boxes.

The race is now on to get the worst hit areas ready in time for our pre-season friendlies against Everton, Manchester United XI, and Blackpool.

However, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. Groundsman Phil Collinson and his team will be pleased that the Spotland pitch has had a good watering!
