Injury update
As the new season looms large on the horizon one man glad not to be busy is physio Andy Thorpe. This time last season he had a queue outside his room with player after player picking up injuries. Now though he is working with just two walking wounded as he explains.
" It was horrendous last year but gladly it is a lot better now."
"Joe Thompson tweaked his medial ligament two or three weeks ago but should be able to rejoin the sqaud in training on Monday. "
"Marcus Holness is now functionally fit but just lacks a bit of actual training. He has now had the ok from his surgeon and I am presuming that he too should be able to return to full training shortly"

" The aim at the moment is to build him up and get him functionally better so that he can adapt to the training routines and tempo. Marcus has in effect been out since the end of last season and whilst some lads, like Joe, are naturally fit and can fall back into training Marcus has to work that bit harder. it is taking a little time for him to build back up but he is now very close"
