The officials for Saturdays season opener have now been announced and the game will mark referee Craig Pawson's debut in the Football League.

The Yorkshire based official took charge of 13 Conference games last season issuing a total of just 30 yellow and 1 red card and his last action of the season saw him as the "man in the middle" at Wembley on May 18th as Exeter City clinched their return to the Football League with a 1-0 win over Cambridge United.

His assistants on the day will be N.Smith and J Waugh with SJ Ross operating as 4th official.  

For the record Dale received a total of 72 yellow and 5 red cards last term with our hosts Grimsby Town receiving 54 yellow and 6 of the red variety.
