Get here early
Club Chief Executive Colin Garlick has urged fans attending Saturdays high noon clash against Darlington to get here as early as they can.The turnstiles will be open at 10.00am and the club are urging that as many supporters as possible are here and ready to go into the stadium when they do.
" There are 3 major points points that we need to get over to all our supporters"
"The first is that our car park will be full and that there will be parking restrictions all around the stadium so it would be for the best if people either used public transport or arranged to get themselves dropped off. The roads approaching the stadium are likely to be extremely busy in the build up to the game."
"Secondly we have to stress that this is an all ticket game and people must sit in the seats allocated to them"
" Thirdly and most important bearing in mind the other points that we have raised we would urge our supporters to get here early and to get into the ground early. There will be congestion all around the stadium and at the turnstiles as kick off time approaches so we would need people to be inside the stadium as soon as they possibly can be"
Manager Keith Hill is of the same opinion.
"In terms of our preparation the last thing that we need is a delayed kick off as we had at Bury a few weeks ago. Everything is timed precisely and the players will be primed and ready to go at 12'o'clock. The fans have a truly massive part to play on Saturday and they can start by making it a cauldron in the ground from the minute the gates open. If we are to achieve our aims and goals it will be a collective effort as it has been all season long"
The manager has also asked that the fans join in as one to a song that has become something of an anthem in the dressing room.
"When Dave Sweetmore plays it over the public address system we want every single Dale fan in the ground to join in with Wonderwall. I think that most if not all of our fans will know it and to hear the whole of our support banging it out would give the players a massive boost. We are team Rochdale and myself, Dave and every member of the coaching and playing staff are so grateful to the support and belief that we have had this season. On Saturday we need a truly massive effort from everyone connected to this Football Club and together, as one, we can do it"
