PETERLEE 0ROCHDALE AFC LADIES 4

A heavy snow fall greeted Dale's arrival at Peterlee's ground and a strong wind blew in off the sea and this made accurate passing off the floor nearly impossible.

Dale started well Lisa Wood's run down the right wing found Steph Bell in front of the Peterlee goal, Bell side footed to an incoming Lizzie Paul who just a shot inches off the post.

The visitors were on top and a good combination between Anna Renken and Lizzie Paul found Lizzie unmarked and slotted home to make it 1 nil after 10 minutes. Dale pushed home their advantage as Anna Renken slammed home Dale's second on the 15th minute. This seemed to kick start Peterlee into life and Dale could have found themselves pegged back by a goal but super keeper Lauren Bracewell saved from point blank range. A Peterlee corner came into Dale's box but Sarah Buffel headed clear and Dale broke out on to the attack again Lizzie Paul and Anna Renken worked well their movement off the ball was fantastic and Lizzie Paul finished off the move by beating the keeper for Dale's third on the 36th minute.

At the restart again Dale took control, Holly Newman replaced an injured Sarah Buffel. Dale's back four of Claire Pearson, Jennie Cummins, Nicola Ireson and new signing Abbi Ramsay kept Peterlee's efforts down to a minimum Claire Pearson's tackles were timed to perfection.

Dale had several more chances to finish off Peterlee Rachael Wood and Lisa Wood both shooting just wide of the post. Lyndsey Burtonwood replaced Nicola Ireson on the 69th minute at left back.Dale scored their fourth goal as Anna Renken received a long ball over the top from Steph Bell and she coolly slotted home making the game beyond Peterlee

Another good win for Dale and the next game is away at Middlesborough
