ROCHDALE AFC LADIES 0 STOCKPORT COUNTY 1
The last encounter between these two teams saw Dale run out 3 nil winners however Stockport opened the scoring in the 15th minute a cross from the right found the top corner of the net just out of reach of Dale's keeper Lauren Bracewell.
Despite pressure on the Stockport goal and nine-gilt edge chances the score remained 1 nil at the break.
After the restart Dale threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Stockport's defence, but poor finishing and some good saves from the Stockport keeper kept Dale out. Dale's players gave their all but it was just going to be one of the days. After the final whistle the officials commented that they had never seen a more one sided game where the losing side had so many chances to score but did not do so.
Dale missed out on an opportunity to close on the leaders of the division as they also lost their league game.
Dale's next home game is at home to Salford Sports on Sunday 1st Feb at Hopwood Hall.
