When Ben Muirhead's penalty hit the sweet spot on his foot on Saturday the feeling that I had eclipsed that of 1969. Memories of that time are growing slightly dim but when he stopped to take it I tried to think when the last time was that we scored 5 penalties on the trot. I was also thinking how games are won and lost by a coat of paint but when it did hit the back of the net it was absolutely unbelievable.

In the last few weeks the town has woken up to what Keith Hill and Dave Flitcroft are all about and what the club has been doing over the last couple of years. I felt immense pride just to stand up there and see so many people on the pitch singing. It was marvellous, absolutely marvellous. It is something I am sure that will live with those supporters for the rest of their lives.

Without a doubt getting to Wembley provides a great financial icing on what has been a very difficult season.
It will be good news for the management team because any monies that we do make will go straight back into the team.

I found it a very emotional day and I couldn't speak properly even on Saturday evening, seeing the messages on the boards and seeing the looks of absolute joy on peoples faces. The fans can enjoy the day on Monday but more than anything they will know that the team will be there and giving 110%. They will be there with every chance of winning that game and gaining promotion to a higher league.
