Football in the Community
SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
IN TERM SCHOOLS COACHING
The Schools Package includes a Visit to Schools for one week, three days of specialised coaching working to National Curricular standards plus a sponsored penalty shoot out on the final day.
Procceds from the shoot out are split between School and Football in the Community, alst year over £25,000 was donated back to Schools taking part in the Scheme.
Key Stage 1: Learning basic techniques, practising and developing ways of sending, receiving and travelling with a ball. Participating in games involving chasing, dodging and awareness of space plus being given the opportunity to play games with simple rules and objectives.
Key Stage 2: Understanding of common skills and principles including attack and defence. Improving skills of sending, receiving and travelling with a ball in invasion games. Given opportunity to develop own games practices to their own requirements or with assistance of Teacher.
Partners, such as Rochdale Police Schools Liaison Team (drug awareness issues and safety in the community) have supported us and for this project, we have received interest from Rochdale Primary Trust Care (NHS) to assist in delivering nutrition, diet, physical activities sessions.

All activities undertaken by our Scheme are covered by the following criteria:-

- Football in the Community is fully insured as part of Scheme procedures
- We carry out Risk Assessments for all activities undertaken
- Staff have recently attained AOTTS award (Adults Other Than Teachers)
- Staff carry their own Portfolios at every session to prove authoristaion
- We provide evaluation forms to give us important feed back on performance

Non Contact Time in Schools (PPA) involving multi sport activities
After school football coaching and/or multi sport coaching sessions (plus girls only)
