Charity night a great success

Posted on: Wed 30 Dec 2009

We have recievd the following e mail from Emma Eaton who was the driving force behind Dave Sweetmore's Charity night in Studds over the weekend.

To everybody at rochdale afc!
I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everybody who came to the 60s night in studds bar on saturday night. it was a huge success and we raised £800 for christies against cancer. A big thank you to the clubs DJ and announcer Dave Sweetmore without who i couldn't have done it, also to stuart, pete, mike, iain and colin who i know dave in someway got to help out with the night, and also to gary and the bar staff.
Over 150 people turned up, including a lot of dale fans who came straight from the wycombe game. Vintage, Adam Brown, Dave Sweetmore and his dad John, were all on top form and i don't think a better 60s night could have been held anywhere better!
Its great to be a fan of a club who will do so much to help.
I wanted to do the night in memory of my mum who passed away in christies, i know she would be proud, and also very grateful to everyone connected at rochdale afc.
thanks again to everybody at the club,
i cant thank you enough,
up the dale!
love,
emma eaton
