Rochdale were 4-1 winners over Colchester United when the two sides met at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in December.
Matty Lund opened the scoring, before Peter Vincenti netted Dale's second goal three minutes later. Ian Henderson netted from the penalty spot shortly before half-time to see Keith Hill's side take a 3-0 lead into the interval. Gavin Massey pulled a goal back for the home side five minutes after the break, but Jack O'Connell put the game out of sight once more in the 56th minute.
