Shane Cansdell-Sherriff Signs on Loan
Dale manager Keith Hill moved to bolster his defence with the loan signing of Shane Cansdell-Sheriff from Preston North End.
The former Leeds United defender is no stranger to Spotland having enjoyed a month on loan at the club back in November 2002.
After parting company with Leeds United in the summer of 2003 the 30-year-old joined Danish side Aarhus in the Danish SAS Ligaen.
Cansdell-Sherriff enjoyed three years in Denmark before returning to England joining Tranmere Rovers in July 2006.
Two years later and with almost 100 appearances under his belt the defender moved South to ply his trade with Shrewsbury Town under former Dale manager Paul Simpson. Following a stay of almost four years the Australian upped sticks and moved north once again this time to join his current club Preston North End. Shane has signed until April 27th 2013 and will wear the number 5 shirt.
