Over the last few days we have received some brilliant pictures, via Twitter and Facebook, from supporters who are taking part in Pink Pants Day on Saturday.
The idea, which came directly from fans and has been backed by the club, will see hundreds of Daleys looking pretty in pink at Rodney Parade.
Will Manager Keith Hill be wearing the pink pants that got supporters talking at Bristol Rovers? Without a question!
Hill told Dale Player: “I’m sure to be having pink socks on and I’ll have pink trousers on. I’m not sure whether or not I could force a pink shirt out, but I’ll definitely have the pink trousers on.
“I don’t know why, but it has created such energy and enthusiasm. I think it only went down well with the Rochdale supporters when I wore them against Bristol Rovers - there was a bit of heckling from the Bristol Rovers supporters, though. I suppose it deflected from our players, which was maybe one of the reasons why I did it.
“It [Pink Pants Day] has generated so much interest and I hope that every Rochdale supporter, my family included, and the families of the players who’ll be travelling to Newport, will all join in and wear some type of pink garment.”
