A message from Olly Lancashire...
Keeping a clean sheet for a defender is as good as scoring goals as a striker and so far we have recorded 20 in the league and cup combined. As followers of my Twitter account know I send out a #persil tweet and I hope I can continue to send out a few more before the season comes to an end.
We have six games to go and we are looking forward to every one of them and I’m sure you are too. Some people have said we have a good run in but no team should be under estimated and we will give due respect to every side we face from here on in.
Saturday sees York City coming to Spotland and they have been #persil themselves. They are currently sitting on top of the form table and I’m sure they will come here looking to stay there. For us as the gaffer says, it is another opportunity to show what we have as a team and we will go into it with confidence and a huge desire to win the game.
The dressing room is buzzing right now and having sat amongst supporters during my time out injured I know the stands are too. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans for their messages of support to me personally and for their incredible support of the team. I know we will keep going on the field to bring success to our club and I’m sure you will keep up on the terraces.
