Hill: It’s Superb Working With These Players

23 October 2014

The goal scorers often get the plaudits, but Manager Keith Hill was also full of praise for Conrad Logan following Tuesday night’s 3-2 win over Swindon Town.

After a relatively quiet first half, the on loan ‘keeper pulled off three excellent saves during the last 20 minutes of the game. You can watch the saves HERE.

Speaking after the fixture, Hill spoke about the standards that his squad are setting.

“He [Conrad Logan] was phenomenal and we expect him to be because he has been tremendous since he has been at the football club.

“He sets high standards and was really, really upset with just drawing the game on Saturday.

“And he likes to analyse the goals that he concedes. At half time [tonight] he was looking at the goal on the computer.”

Hill continued: “The defenders as well - Ashley Eastham has come in and has done exceptionally well, as have Jack O’Connell, Rhys Bennett and Scott Tanser, as well as Rosey who has come in tonight.

“We’ve got a good squad. They’re friends, but they’re not comfortable friends – they don’t tell lies to each other or support them with untruths. There’s an honesty about the players and if they’re not doing what they’re supposed to be doing then they get told.

“It’s superb working with these players and for this football club in this league at this moment in time.”
