We’re delighted to announce that Jack O’Connell has returned to Spotland.
The 20-year-old has penned a loan deal until the end of the season from Brentford.
It’s a return to Dale for the defender, who secured a transfer deadline day move to the Bees from Blackburn Rovers.
O’Connell spent the majority of the first half of this season at Spotland and was regularly involved in the side, notching up 19 starts and scoring three times between September and January.
He was also a main stay in Rochdale’s promotion winning side last season, making 45 appearances in all competitions.
O’Connell has been registered in time for Tuesday night’s League One fixture v Walsall and will go straight into the squad to face the Saddlers.
He's chosen squad number 22.
