Manager Keith Hill has revealed that Niall Canavan and Matty Lund will remain side-lined for this weekend’s game against Port Vale.
Canavan picked up a groin strain before Dale’s League 1 fixture v Peterborough United, while Lund sustained a thigh problem last week, missing the home games against Blackpool and Gillingham.
Canavan, who is on loan from Scunthorpe United, has not returned to the Iron and remains at Spotland for his treatment.
Hill told Dale PlayerHD: "Niall probably isn’t going to be fit for the next game – he might only be fit for the last game of the season.
“His rehab is going well. It’s important that he completes his rehabilitation.”
He continued: “Lundy picked up a slight thigh strain in training last week. It’s disappointing but it represents an opportunity.
“Hopefully they (Niall and Matty) will be back on the training pitch at some point next week.”
