Scott Hogan Injury Update

10 March 2014

Manager Keith Hill has confirmed that the knee injury sustained by Scott Hogan in Friday night’s derby encounter won’t end his season.

Hogan’s game lasted just 17 minutes, with Dale’s top scorer forced to withdraw early after landing awkwardly.

Hill isn’t putting any pressure on the 21-year-old by giving an estimation of the length of time that he could be out for, but says he’ll be back for the run in.

“There’s no pressure on Scotty,” said Hill. “He was out for a six week period earlier in the season, so we can cope because we’ve got a very good squad.

“Do I want Scotty Hogan fit? One hundred percent! He’s a great player for us but he’ll also be a great player once he’s recovered from injury.

“I spoke with him yesterday and he’s very encouraged with the length of recovery time. He’ll be fit for the last part of the season so it’s not a season ending injury, which is encouraging for the talisman that we’ve had this season.”
