Hill On Recruitment

3 August 2015

Manager Keith Hill has told Dale Player that he’ll have to be patient in his recruitment search.

Hill has made no secret that he would like to add at least one new signing to the squad, but admits that he won’t be forced into a panic addition.

“Having both our number fours out at the same time - Rhys Bennett and Matty Lund - leaves me with a bit of a problem. I might have to go into the loan market.

"I’m still waiting on one or two players who are coming towards the end of their trial periods at other clubs to drop in for me, so I’ll have to be patient.

“And I want to be patient because I want the right players. I don’t want to be replacing the players that come in with other players. They’ve got to be the right choice and the right calibre of player and I think we’ll get there in the end, but there’s no need to panic.”

Meanwhile, young winger Joel Logan joined Wrexham AFC on a month long loan on Saturday and Hill hopes that he makes an impact while at the Conference side.

“For me, experience is about having knowledge then putting it into action. Joel has got the knowledge so he should be able to make an impact at Wrexham and I hope he does.”
