Manager Keith Hill is looking to the future after putting pen to paper on a new contract on Thursday morning.
Hill, who returned to Spotland in January, has agreed a three year deal and he admits he wants to recreate the success seen during his last spell at the club.
“I’m excited about it and I’m really looking forward to it,” said Hill. “I’ve really enjoyed the past three months and I’m excited about trying to recreate the past.
“The negotiations were about making sure that both parties were on the same page as we’ve both got a lot to offer each other. We’re planning to be successful with the current deal and possibly beyond.
“We’re very ambitious and we’re going to be pushy. We’re going to be driven and we’re looking ahead to the future. It is now about planning and developing, and making sure that we retain the essentials of what is the heart beat of the club - that is the identity that we previously created and we want to bring that back.”
