Hill: It’s A Big, Big Game

20 April 2015

Rochdale welcome Leyton Orient to Spotland on Tuesday evening in the re-arranged fixture from February.

It’s Dale’s game in hand over sixth placed Chesterfield and a win would keep Rochdale’s slim play-off hopes alive going into the last two games of the season, while the O's, who currently occupy one of the relegation spots, come to Spotland looking take a step towards securing their League One future.

Speaking ahead of the match, Hill told Dale Player: “It’s a big, big game - it’s a big game for us and a big game for Leyton Orient. I would never have envisaged Leyton Orient being in this position at this time of the season with the players that they’ve recruited and their magnificent exploits of last season when they were a penalty kick away from the Championship.

“That’s football and that’s why you’ve got to make the most of the opportunities that present themselves to you in real time football. Who knows what’s going to happen next season to us, Rochdale Football Club.

“I'm fully focused on this game – we’ve prepared well. We were in yesterday [Sunday] and had a great debate amongst the players and the staff about what’s achievable in the next three games. We want to go out there and play free but responsible football.”
