Hill Pleased With Logan Debut

20 August 2014

Manager Keith Hill has revealed that loanee Conrad Logan didn’t have the chance to train with the squad prior to Tuesday night’s League One encounter against Crewe Alex.

The ‘keeper joined Dale on an emergency loan from Premier League side Leicester City late on Monday afternoon and met his new team mates for the first team upon his arrival at Gresty Road on Tuesday.

“He didn’t have a chance to train with us - he came straight to the stadium tonight,” said Hill.

“We had numerous goalkeepers that we could have recruited but I know what Conrad is like with his distribution and it’s superb. He needed to play games and thankfully Leicester have given us the opportunity to recruit him.

“It’s unfortunate for Josh, but he’s going to be out for quite some time, possibly an eight or nine week period, so it’s a good opportunity for Conrad.

“And I think he did exceptionally well tonight. The save in the first half, just before half time when Peter Vincenti was off the pitch, was arguably a match winning save.”
