Garlick: A renewed Support

Chief Executive Colin Garlick says thank you as attendances rise

The home crowd exceeded the 2,200 mark for a second consecutive game on Saturday as Keith Hill’s side welcomed Torquay United to Spotland.

Attendances have been up for our last two home fixtures and Dale Chief Executive Colin Garlick would like to say a “special thank you” for your continued support.

“We’ve seen a renewed support from some of our home fans,” said Mr Garlick. “After our first home game under Keith we looked at the attendance figure and felt that there were three or four hundred, potentially as much as five hundred people, that had returned to the fold with Keith coming back. On Saturday it was evident to see again as Torquay brought just over one hundred fans.

“As well as turning up in their numbers and continuing to support the club as well as Keith, I thought the vocal support was also very good. I want to say a special thank you to all of our supporters – those who have continued to support us and those who have now come back and are obviously in sync with where we want to go and what we want to do.”

You can hear more from Colin Garlick in his weekly video diary which is on Dale Player now.
