Manager Keith Hill has today bolstered his squad with the addition of Stephen Dawson.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who turned down a new contract offer at Barnsley in the summer, has penned a one-year-deal.
The move to Spotland will see Dawson working under Hill for a second spell. He previously spent almost a year working under the Gaffer at Barnsley, after Hill brought him to Oakwell in January 2012.
A former Republic of Ireland youth international, Dawson has also had spells at Leicester City, Mansfield Town, Bury and Leyton Orient.
