Manager Keith Hill says the injury sustained by Conrad Logan in Saturday's League One fixture v Notts County is "serious" but will liaise with his parent club before confirming more details.
Logan, who has quickly become a fans favourite since arriving on loan from Leicester City in August, landed awkwardly after stretching to collect a Gary Jones set-piece, just a minute into the match.
Speaking after Saturday's game, Hill commented: "It’s a serious injury but we'll liaise with Leicester before confirming that injury. I don’t want to say too much without it being confirmed, but there’s a suggestion that it’s pretty serious.
"It’s a disappointment because he has been excellent for us and we wish him well in his recovery."
