A message from Captain Peter Cavanagh...

"It's been fantastic to achieve back to back away wins, and I must say thank you to all the fans who travelled to the games. We appreciate the sacrifices that people have to make to watch football these days, especially when the games have come thick and fast like the last few weeks.

"We've not achieved anything yet, but we've given ourselves a really good chance to do something about that.

"It seems strange playing Pompey as it's only a few years since we saw them lifting the FA Cup. I say "we", but the gaffer tells me that no one in Rochdale watched the Cup Final that day for some reason!

"We know it's going to be a tough game, and we'll have to be at our best to get the three points. Portsmouth showed on TV recently how good they can be when they played at Chesterfield.

"We'd love it if you could come down to Spotland on Tuesday night. It always makes a difference to the lads to see and hear the support from the fans, and we want to return the favour by giving you something to cheer about.

"Let's get Spotland bouncing tonight!"
