Beech: Logan Has Done Ever So Well

29 August 2014

Assistant Manager Chris Beech says it was important to extend Conrad Logan’s loan deal.

Logan had initially joined Dale on month long loan from Leicester City following an injury sustained by Josh Lillis, but he has this week extended his stay at Spotland until January.

Lillis will remain out of action for up to nine weeks and Beech says it’s important to have stability.

“Obviously we want Josh back fit as he’s our goalkeeper, but he’s out for eight or nine weeks. He will then have to get match fit, and that’s, touch wood, with everything going really well.

“We didn’t want to be messing about in that situation and to be left open, so we wanted to get his loan extended, especially with Conrad making such a good start.

“He has done ever so well and it’s pretty obvious that he has got a lot about him. He wants to play first team football and I can already see that within his personality. I also think he feels settled within his work
environment and I can see a little bounce in him already in training. He has represented that with two solid performances in the first team.”
