Japhet Mata spoke to Daniel Edwards to discuss being named Man of the Match versus Dordrecht on Friday, and what film he’d want with him on a desert island.
Q: What position do you play for the team?
A: “I play on the wing. Sometimes just behind the striker. I probably prefer playing behind the striker.”
Q: How are you finding the trip so far?
A: “Yeah, it’s great. Learning about the culture and what to do here is fantastic.”
Q: Did you enjoy the win over Dordrecht?
A: “Yeah it was great. We played well, and what the coaches taught us we put into practice and I think that’s why we won really.”
Q: Are you proud to have been named Man of the Match by the coaches?
A: “Yeah I am, I only found out today! So yeah, definitely really proud.”
Q: If you were stuck on a desert island and you could only have one film, what would it be?
A: “I’d probably take ‘Think Like a Man 2’, which is by Kevin Hart. It’s a comedy film."
