Rochdale’s under-18s have a cup final to look forward to this Saturday (March 18th).
They take on Wigan Athletic in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup Northern Area final at Christopher Park. Kick-off is 11am.
The winners of the tie will face either Bournemouth or Luton Town in the national final of the competition.
Dale beat Hartlepool United 2-0 in the last round. Joe Piggott opened the scoring on the half hour mark, heading home from a Jack Lenehan delivery. Five minutes later, Matty Gillam netted Rochdale’s second with a wonderful strike from the edge of the area.
