The Youth Team kept their third consecutive clean sheet, as they hit four past Bury in Saturday’s local derby at Carrington.
Jack Stewart netted a brace, while David Owusu and Adejuwon Hamzat, an under 16, also got their name on the score sheet.
The 4-0 victory marks a treble of wins for Dale over the Shakers this season, following the victories in the Youth Alliance Cup and the league earlier in the campaign.
David Owusu opened the scoring in the scoring in the 22nd minute, while Hamzat doubled Dale’s advantage six minutes before the interval. As Dale dominated, Stewart netted a third on the stroke of half time to put the game out of sight.
The forward scored a brilliant free-kick early in the second half to seal a comfortable win for Rochdale.
